Roadmap Proposal 2026–2027
Staff recommendations and alternatives for the Open Force Field Consortium's 2026–2027 priorities. Solid-border nodes are recommended items; dashed-border nodes are alternatives. Recommendations are made based on staff's estimation of cost-benefit-risk analysis of individual projects, without any effort to match recommendations to available capacity. If all recommended priorities were pursued, they would amount to a drastic over-commitment of staff effort. Final decisions on the roadmap, including fitting objectives to staff capacity, will be made by the OpenFF Consortium Governing Board. Click any project to view details.
Allowing for reasonable time off, sick leave, and other commitments. ~35% of infrastructure FTE is committed to ongoing maintenance and support. ~1 FTE-month per year is committed to the MuPT collaboration.
